In short
- We don't send you an invoice.
- The supplier you sign with pays us a commission.
- That commission is included in the price you pay: an amount added to your unit rate (pence per kWh) and/or your standing charge (pence per day).
- So you pay for our service through your energy or water rates.
The detail
The commission is set when the contract is agreed. The total we receive depends on how much energy you use and how long the contract runs, so higher usage or a longer contract means more commission. Commission can differ between suppliers and products.
Ask us and we'll tell you the commission included in any quote, so you can compare offers fairly. Your supplier may also show broker costs in your contract or on your bills.
Our promise
- We tell you we're paid by commission before you agree to a contract.
- We tell you the commission amount in a quote if you ask.
- We tell you which suppliers we asked for prices.
Other charges
Arranging a contract through us carries no separate fee. If any other service ever carried a charge, we would agree it with you in writing before starting.
